The Elephant Man - Concept Development

Reimagining The Elephant Man with a fresh setting in British Colonial India can provide a unique perspective and add new layers of meaning to the story. I decided to re-imagine two scenes from the film. The first is the discovery of John Merrick at the sideshow, and the second is when he is having tea with Dr Treves and hos wife at their home. These two contrasting scenes highlight the complexities of where someone like the Elephant Man belongs in society.
